Government Support Packages
Support at Home (SAH)
This program assists older individuals with higher or more complex care needs to continue living independently at home.
For SAH customers, we provide split billing between you and your provider. You will only need to pay 25% of your Home Chef order, while the remaining balance will be covered by your provider-managed package.
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) / Meals on Wheels (MOW)
The CHSP offers entry-level support for older adults who require some assistance to continue living at home. Service providers work with clients to maintain independence and support their overall well-being.
For CHSP/MOW customers, we provide our meals at a discounted rate, helping you stay happy and healthy.
We work with a select group of community providers and city councils eligible for CHSP/MOW funding. Please check with your provider to see if this service is available to you.

The minimum order spend for a Support at Home customer is $16.50, for a CHSP/MOW customer it is $45.65.
This is equivalent to $66.00 full price or 5 regular meals.
Whilst there is no maximum order, your provider may have a budget limit you can order each week or fortnight to ensure your funding will last. If your budget does not meet your meal requirements, please contact your provider to have your budget increased if applicable.
My Aged Care Referral Code
We DO NOT accept the My Aged Care Referral Code as a form of reference for your Government Support Package. This code must be given to an Aged Care Provider who has the ability to access your funding and allocate it to services on your behalf. To utilise your funding for Home Chef meals, your provider needs to send us a referral form on your behalf with all of your details before you can start ordering.
If you have an Aged Care Provider and would like to receive meals from Home Chef, please speak to your co-ordinator about sending a referral through to us and our friendly package team will be in contact with you to walk you through the package details once we’ve received your referral.
Frequently Asked Questions
